What is worth loving is worth passing on
There are places that shape our memories. Landscapes that become a part of us. Horizons whose beauty compels us.
Launched by the family that owns the Hôtel Belles Rives, Green Light is an endowment fund dedicated to preserving the Mediterranean environment, the transmission of culture, and the protection of living organisms.
Here, the sea is not just a backdrop. It is a living presence. It connects generations, inspires artists, fuels the imagination, and has always shaped the identity of our region.
Green Light was born out of this belief: a legacy has value only if it continues its journey.
Supporting scientific research, assisting organizations and creative endeavors, and preserving the traditional skills and ecosystems around us—all of this is part of a single journey: passing on to future generations a Mediterranean that remains vibrant, fertile, and capable of inspiring wonder.
Through challenging projects and long-term partnerships, Green Light brings together people who want to turn attachment into commitment and memory into action.
«Green Light was born out of a simple belief: we are merely temporary custodians of what has been passed down to us. The beauty of a landscape, the skill of an artisan, the memory of a place, or the bounty of the sea never belongs to a single generation. Our responsibility is to protect them today so that they may continue to shine tomorrow.»

Le Bal des Rêves, 5th edition
Overlooking the sea, in one of the Riviera’s most iconic locations, the Bal des Rêves has been bringing together patrons, partners, and friends of the Tara Ocean Foundation for the past five years around a shared commitment. This charity event supports the Foundation’s scientific missions and its efforts to promote understanding and conservation of the oceans.
At a time when marine ecosystems are more fragile than ever, understanding the ocean has become a necessity. Protecting it is our responsibility.

Frequently asked questions
Here you'll find answers to the most frequently asked questions about how Green Light works, how donations are used and our events.
What is an endowment fund?
An endowment fund is a not-for-profit structure that collects resources to support causes of general interest. Green Light uses these funds to finance cultural, artistic and environmental initiatives on the Côte d'Azur and in the Mediterranean.
How are donations used?
Your donations directly finance our three main areas of focus: support for artists and craftspeople (45%), maritime protection in partnership with Tara Océan (35%), and the organization of unifying events (15%). Only 5% are dedicated to operations.
Can I benefit from a tax reduction?
Yes, all donations to Green Light are eligible for a tax reduction of 66% of the amount paid, up to a limit of 20% of taxable income. You will automatically receive a tax receipt.
